The room
The Piece Hall is a Grade I listed Georgian cloth hall in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England, which opened on 1 January 1779 with more than 300 merchants' rooms arranged around a large central courtyard. Once a marketplace for handwoven woollen 'pieces', it was restored and reopened in 2017 and now stages open-air concerts in its colonnaded courtyard.
