The room
A sports and entertainment arena at Bay Street North and York Boulevard in Hamilton, Ontario, holding up to 18,000 and now operating primarily as a concert venue. It opened in 1985 as Copps Coliseum, named after the long-serving mayor Victor Copps, and cost $33.5 million to build. It has hosted the 1986 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, the 1987 Canada Cup and the 1990 Memorial Cup, and was the FirstOntario Centre before its present name.
