Suncorp Stadium

Suncorp Stadium is the 52,500-seat ground in the Brisbane suburb of Milton, 1.4 kilometres from the CBD, established in 1914 as Lang Park on the site of the former North Brisbane Cemetery and brought to its present capacity by the redevelopment of 2003; the Suncorp Group has held the naming rights since 1994. Rugby league gave it the nickname "the Cauldron", and it is the home ground of the Brisbane Broncos, the Dolphins and the Queensland Reds — but its record crowd is a concert one: 59,185 for Ed Sheeran on 18 February 2023. The stadium's own concerts page counts up to 60,000 patrons for shows staged in the round, and the acts it lists as having played here include Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Paul McCartney, Metallica and Guns N' Roses. It is a public-transport venue: parking restrictions apply around the ground on event days, and travel on the Queensland Rail City Network (Airtrain and ferries excepted) and Transport for Brisbane buses is included with an event ticket.
