The room
One of the stages inside the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, on the corner of Melbourne and Grey Streets in Brisbane's South Bank precinct. QPAC was designed by the Queensland architect Robin Gibson and opened by the Duke of Kent on 20 April 1985 as part of the Queensland Cultural Centre, and the Concert Hall was one of its three original stages alongside the Lyric Theatre and the Cremorne Theatre. The centre stages more than 1,200 performances a year across dance, musicals, theatre, opera, comedy, and classical and contemporary music.
