The room
MTELUS is a 2,350-capacity performing-arts hall at 59 rue Sainte-Catherine Est, in the Quartier des Spectacles in downtown Montreal, between Saint-Dominique and De Bullion. It programmes mainly rock and is a venue for the Montreal International Jazz Festival and the FrancoFolies. The building opened in 1884 as a skating rink and later traded as the Métropolis; Telus acquired the naming rights in 2016 and the room was formally renamed MTELUS in May 2017. In 2011 it was ranked the ninth most popular club venue in the world by ticket sales.

What is MTELUS's capacity?
Up to 2,350. It is at 59 rue Sainte-Catherine Est, in the thick of Montreal's Quartier des Spectacles.
Is MTELUS the same as Metropolis?
Same room, new sign. It ran as Métropolis from 1987 until May 2017, when a Telus Mobility partnership renamed it MTELUS. Plenty of Montrealers still call it Metropolis.
