The room
A Western Cape Education Department music centre at 20 Picton Street in Parow, Cape Town, teaching instrumental, vocal and theoretical music to school-going learners and to adult students. Tuition covers strings, brass and percussion, woodwind, voice, piano and music theory. Its Music Development Programme, started in 2002, brings selected learners from five partnership primary schools in for weekly individual and group lessons.
