The room
Exchange Bristol is a community-owned, not-for-profit independent music venue on Old Market, next to the Stag & Hounds and a stone's throw from Cabot Circus and Castle Park. It opened in August 2012 and passed into community ownership in January 2019, when a share offer beat its £250,000 target and made it the first community-owned music venue in the city; Specialist Subject Records opened a record shop upstairs in 2017. Gigs are 14+ unless stated, with under-18s accompanied by an adult, and club nights are strictly 18+.
