The room
An art deco live-music venue in the Miracle Mile stretch of Mid-Wilshire, Los Angeles. Designed by Clifford A. Balch and built in 1936 as a single-screen cinema, it ran as a dance club called Wall Street through the 1980s before becoming a music venue in 1994. It holds 771, with a balcony at the back, and was designated Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument No. 520 in 1991. Much of the interior keeps its Zigzag and Streamline Moderne detailing.
