The room
A meeting, entertainment and convention venue in Edmonton, Alberta, known as the Shaw Conference Centre from 1997 to 2018. Opened in 1983 and managed by Explore Edmonton, it sits on Jasper Avenue and is built into a hillside, with roughly 70 per cent of its space burrowed underground into the cliff face. Its 144,406 square feet includes four exhibition halls, 20 meeting rooms and a ballroom that host events and live entertainment.
