The room
A baseball stadium in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park, in the New York City borough of Queens. Opened in 2009 as home of MLB's New York Mets, the $850 million ballpark replaced the adjacent Shea Stadium, demolished shortly before it opened. Designed by Populous and funded partly through $615 million in public subsidies, the stadium hosted its first game on March 29, 2009 and doubles as a large-scale concert venue.
