The room
The Attic is the top room at The Garage, the music venue and nightclub at 490 Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow, and the part of the building given over to indie and rock. The Garage — formerly The Mayfair — was founded by Donald C MacLeod and opened in 1994; its main hall was the first Locarno ballroom in the UK, and the other rooms are G2 and the Desperados bar. As a gig venue the building has hosted Prince, Biffy Clyro, One Direction, Kasabian and Marilyn Manson. It is owned by Holdfast Entertainment, which also owns the Cathouse Rock Club.
