Arena Theatre

Arena Theatre calls itself Houston's historic and legendary theatre with the stage in the round, and that is the room: the stage stands at 7326 Southwest Freeway with the seating wrapped all the way around it. Its booking sheet is largely the Spanish-language touring circuit — Marisela, Mijares, Los Palominos and Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan are all billed there this autumn — and the venue publishes its own site bilingually, with the FAQ running as preguntas frequentes and tickets sold as boletos. The box office takes accessible-seating bookings by phone on (713) 772-5900, there is an accessible restroom on aisle 12 inside the theater, and bags larger than a small clutch have to be clear.
