The room
The theatre room at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, on Port Road in the suburb of Hindmarsh just north-west of the Adelaide city centre. It was built as part of a $52 million redevelopment completed in 2010 that also gave the centre a new entry, and it provides the smaller of the venue's configurations: the centre as a whole is Adelaide's principal room for audiences of between 1,000 and 11,300. The Adelaide Entertainment Centre was opened in July 1991 by the then premier John Bannon.
