A winery in Saratoga, California that has staged concerts since 1958, founded by Paul Masson, the sparkling-wine maker known for the line "We will sell no wine before its time". Masson bought the property in 1901 and built a house above the winery, The Chateau, in 1905; the sandstone winery was rebuilt after the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, incorporating the entrance portal of St Patrick's Church in San Jose. Winemaking stopped in 1952 and resumed around 2000. It is California Historical Landmark No. 733 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. ZZ Top are that little ol' band from Texas — the Houston blues-rock trio formed in 1969 whose Eliminator (1983) welded boogie to synthesizers and MTV iconography.
