The Pyramid Scheme is a bar, live-music venue and pinball arcade in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. Alongside gigs by touring and local bands, it keeps one of the Midwest's largest collections of coin-operated pinball machines. Whitney are a Chicago duo formed from Smith Westerns' ashes, whose falsetto country-soul debut Light Upon the Lake became an indie touchstone.
