A two-floor venue on Bloor Street West in Toronto's Annex, adapted in September 1985 into the concert hall and nightclub it is now. The ground-floor room holds just over 500; upstairs is The Dance Cave, which draws students from the nearby universities at weekends with alt-rock and older regulars midweek with goth, mod, punk and indie nights. We Are Scientists are a New York indie-rock duo whose caffeinated 2005 debut With Love and Squalor — and legendarily funny live banter — built an enduring following.
