A 1936 National Guard armory in downtown Minneapolis, built by the Public Works Administration and on the National Register of Historic Places. It housed the Minneapolis Lakers before the NBA left town, sat through decades of other uses, and is now one of the city's biggest and most striking rooms. Underoath are a Tampa post-hardcore band whose They're Only Chasing Safety and Define the Great Line brought screamo to gold-record scale.
