A 1925 movie palace on Woodward Avenue (the longtime State Theatre), reborn as the Fillmore Detroit — a grand lobby, three tiers, and the annual Detroit Music Awards under its roof. Tomahawk are an alt-metal supergroup fronted by Faith No More's Mike Patton with members of the Jesus Lizard and Helmet, trading in cinematic, unsettling rock.
