Phoenix's largest outdoor concert venue, opened on 9 November 1990 with Billy Joel as its inaugural performer. It seats 8,106 under the pavilion roof plus another 12,000 on the hillside lawn, for a total topping 20,000. Known previously as Desert Sky Pavilion and Ak-Chin Pavilion, its concert season runs April through October. TLC are an American R&B and hip-hop group formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1990, comprising Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins, Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas and the late Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes.
