The Palace Theatre is a historic venue on Stephen Avenue (8th Avenue SW) in downtown Calgary, Alberta, that opened in the early 1920s as a vaudeville and cinema house. It now operates as a live-music and events venue and nightclub. Tinariwen are a Grammy-winning Tuareg collective from the Sahara — the borderlands between northern Mali and southern Algeria — who have been playing desert blues since 1979 and released their tenth album, Hoggar, in March 2026.
