Utilita Arena Newcastle is an indoor arena on Arena Way in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, opened in 1995 and known for much of its life as the Metro Radio Arena. Seating around 11,000 for concerts, it is the north-east's largest indoor venue and a regular stop for arena tours, comedy and sport. The Strokes are the New York band whose 2001 debut Is This It rebooted rock and roll for the new century and won them a Grammy two decades on.
