Planned as a musical theatre, it opened in 1929, spent decades as a major premiere cinema, then returned to live performance in 1981, most famously hosting We Will Rock You from 2002 to 2014. A listed building since 1988, it now stages musicals and concerts. The Simon & Garfunkel Story is a touring concert-style theatre show that traces the career of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, from their beginnings as Tom & Jerry to their 1981 reunion in Central Park.
