A 200-acre green space on the south bank of the Thames at Battersea, in the London Borough of Wandsworth, opposite Chelsea. Opened in 1858 on marshland reclaimed from the river and former market gardens, the Grade II*-listed park is a spacious riverside setting for open-air events and festivals. The Maccabees are a South London indie band whose Marks to Prove It topped the UK chart before their farewell — and whose 2025 reunion shows sold out in minutes.
