O2 Academy Birmingham is a live music venue in Birmingham, West Midlands, and one of the city's principal mid-size touring stops. The Damned released the first UK punk single, New Rose, in 1976, then invented goth with Phantasmagoria — and are still gleefully touring the chaos.
