The Paradise Rock Club is a 933-capacity general-admission music venue on Commonwealth Avenue beside Boston University, opened in 1977 as the Paradise Theater. One of Boston's storied small rooms and operated by Crossroads Presents, it has hosted early US shows by the likes of U2 and Phish. The Charlatans are an English rock band formed in the West Midlands in 1988.
