A heritage-listed entertainment venue in Torrensville, in Adelaide's inner west, affectionately known as the Thebby. Built in 1926 as the Thebarton Town Hall and picture theatre and opened in 1928, it holds 2,000 with customisable seating, from full seating to a cleared dance floor or in-the-round. It's a favourite stop for both big international names and emerging artists. The Cat Empire are an Australian band from Melbourne, formed in 1999, whose horn-driven mix of ska, jazz, funk and Latin rhythms made them one of Australia's biggest live exports.
