A 3,000-cap hall opened in 2019 in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley, built by Powderfinger's John Collins to give the Valley precinct its flagship stage. The Cat Empire are an Australian band from Melbourne, formed in 1999, whose horn-driven mix of ska, jazz, funk and Latin rhythms made them one of Australia's biggest live exports.
