Downtown Washington's arena, sitting directly on top of the Gallery Place Metro station in Chinatown. It opened in 1997 as the MCI Center and has changed name twice since — Verizon Center, then Capital One in 2017 — while staying the city's main indoor stop for anything big. Stevland Hardaway Morris, known as Stevie Wonder, was born on 13 May 1950 and is one of the most influential musicians of the twentieth century, claimed as a forerunner across R&B, pop, soul, gospel, funk and jazz.
