A restored 1930s art-deco council hall in Islington, reopened in 2010 as one of London's best-sounding mid-size stages. Soen are a Swedish progressive metal band formed in 2010 by drummer Martin Lopez (formerly of Opeth) and vocalist Joel Ekelöf, whose albums from Cognitive (2012) to Reliance (2026) draw frequent comparisons to Tool.
