The Crystal Ballroom is a historic dance hall on West Burnside Street in Portland, Oregon, opened in 1914 as Ringler's Cotillion Hall and now run by the McMenamins hospitality group. Famous for its mechanical 'floating' sprung dance floor, it hosts concerts for up to about 1,500 standing. Catherine Grace Garner performs as Slayyyter, an American singer and songwriter whose electropop production and brash, sex-positive lyricism first found an audience on SoundCloud, where she released songs independently.
