The Paradise Rock Club is a 933-capacity general-admission music venue on Commonwealth Avenue beside Boston University, opened in 1977 as the Paradise Theater. One of Boston's storied small rooms and operated by Crossroads Presents, it has hosted early US shows by the likes of U2 and Phish. SiM are a Japanese metalcore band from Kanagawa Prefecture, formed in 2004.

Phish's first big Boston show sold it out in January 1989, leaving a couple of hundred people on the pavement outside.
