The Birchmere is a concert hall on Mount Vernon Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia, billed as 'America's Legendary Music Hall.' Opened as a restaurant in 1966 and presenting live music since 1975, its intimate main room seats about 500 at tables for rock, blues, bluegrass, country, folk and jazz. Sierra Hull is a Tennessee mandolin prodigy who debuted at the Grand Ole Opry at ten and became the first woman to win IBMA Mandolin Player of the Year.
