A 1913 working men's club in Hyde Park, Leeds, reborn as one of Britain's best-loved independent venues. Still a social enterprise with its community-club soul intact, its two 400-cap rooms host everyone from cult heroes to arena acts playing secret shows. Shabaka Hutchings is a British jazz musician, composer and bandleader who leads Shabaka and the Ancestors, formerly led Sons of Kemet, and played in The Comet Is Coming as King Shabaka.
