A medieval castle and Victorian Gothic Revival mansion in the centre of Cardiff, used for outdoor concerts. The original motte-and-bailey was raised in the late 11th century by Norman invaders on top of a 3rd-century Roman fort, and rebuilding in stone — a shell keep and substantial defensive walls — began in the 12th century. Sammy Virji is an English DJ and producer, born in 1996 and raised in Witney, Oxfordshire, who became one of UK garage and bassline's leading figures with tracks such as the streaming hit 'If U Need It' (2023).
