Known for its ornate balconies, columns and frescoes, it has a colourful entertainment history taking in burlesque, jazz, folk and rock and roll, and remains one of the city's most characterful rooms for live music. Russian Circles are an American instrumental post-metal band based in Chicago, formed by childhood friends Mike Sullivan and Dave Turncrantz after their earlier projects dissolved.
