The main entertainment venue of Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip, opened in 2003 with about 4,100 seats. Its ancient-Rome-inspired design cost $108 million, then the most expensive entertainment venue in Las Vegas. Billed as the Home of the Greatest Entertainers in the World, it has hosted landmark residencies by Celine Dion, Madonna, Elton John, Cher and Adele, with Dion's run the longest at over 1,100 shows. Rod Stewart is the gravel-voiced London superstar of Maggie May and Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?, with 250 million records sold across six decades and a knighthood for services to music.
