The Coliseo GNP Seguros, formerly the Estadio Tres de Marzo, is a stadium built inside the campus of the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Zapopan, Jalisco, with a capacity of 18,779. Construction began in 1971 for the university's newly founded football team, with prefabricated steel stands holding around 3,000; concrete stands went up along the pitch in 1973 when the club reached the second tier, and new standing areas were added for the 1986 World Cup. It is the home ground of Tecos in the Liga Premier de México, and its former name marked the founding date of the university, 3 March 1935. Rod Stewart is the gravel-voiced London superstar of Maggie May and Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?, with 250 million records sold across six decades and a knighthood for services to music.
