The biggest of Hamburg's music clubs, 1,250 to 1,500 people right on the Spielbudenplatz in St. Pauli. The building was Knopfs Lichtspielhaus, often called the oldest permanent cinema in Germany, which is a decent pedigree for a room that now mostly does loud guitars. Polyphia are an American rock band from Plano, Texas, formed in 2010, with guitarists Tim Henson and Scott LePage, bassist Clay Gober and drummer Clay Aeschliman.
