A winery in Saratoga, California that has staged concerts since 1958, founded by Paul Masson, the sparkling-wine maker known for the line "We will sell no wine before its time". Masson bought the property in 1901 and built a house above the winery, The Chateau, in 1905; the sandstone winery was rebuilt after the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, incorporating the entrance portal of St Patrick's Church in San Jose. Winemaking stopped in 1952 and resumed around 2000. It is California Historical Landmark No. 733 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Peter Hook & The Light is the band of Peter Hook, the pioneering bassist of Joy Division and New Order, formed in Manchester in 2010 to perform those catalogues in full.
