The Crystal Ballroom is a historic dance hall on West Burnside Street in Portland, Oregon, opened in 1914 as Ringler's Cotillion Hall and now run by the McMenamins hospitality group. Famous for its mechanical 'floating' sprung dance floor, it hosts concerts for up to about 1,500 standing. Peter Hook & The Light is the band of Peter Hook, the pioneering bassist of Joy Division and New Order, formed in Manchester in 2010 to perform those catalogues in full.
