Altar Bar is a live-music venue on Murray Street in central Hobart, Tasmania. It hosts touring and local rock, punk and metal acts, from Tasmanian death-metal band Psycroptic to visiting Australian rock groups. Obscura is a German technical death metal band from Landshut, founded in 2002 by guitarist and vocalist Steffen Kummerer.
