A contemporary open-air amphitheatre in Alpharetta, in Atlanta's northern suburbs, opened in 2008 with a performance by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Formerly the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park (and later simply Verizon Amphitheatre) before Ameris Bank took the naming rights in 2018, it mainly hosts popular-music artists, comedians and themed symphony concerts. NEEDTOBREATHE are a South Carolina rock band whose soulful Southern anthems like Brother crossed from Christian charts to mainstream arenas.
