The Basement East is a live-music venue in the East Nashville neighbourhood of Nashville, Tennessee, the larger sibling of the original Basement club and nicknamed 'The Beast'. Destroyed by the tornado that struck Nashville in March 2020, it was rebuilt on its Woodland Street site and continues to showcase touring and local acts. Mushroomhead are an American heavy metal band formed in 1993 in the Cleveland Warehouse District, known for an avant-garde sound and horror-film imagery of masks and costumes, and for live shows usually staged in smaller rooms than their reputation would suggest.
