A 1925 movie palace on Woodward Avenue (the longtime State Theatre), reborn as the Fillmore Detroit — a grand lobby, three tiers, and the annual Detroit Music Awards under its roof. Masego is a Jamaican-born American artist raised in Newport News, Virginia, who calls his saxophone-laced blend of jazz, R&B and hip-hop 'trap house jazz'.
