A 1928 movie palace at Flatbush and DeKalb that put on jazz, blues and early rock and roll, closed in 1962, and spent the next six decades as Long Island University's basketball court. Restoration began in 2017 and it reopened as a venue in 2024. Lucki is an American rapper and producer from Chicago, born Lucki Camel Jr. He started releasing music as a teenager and broke through in the early 2010s via the Chicago outlet Elevator and his debut mixtape Alternative Trap, coining "alternative trap" for his sparse, electronic-leaning sound.
