A historic theater at 620 T Street NW in Washington, D.C., open since 1910 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. Billed as the "Theater of the People," it was a cornerstone for African-American audiences and the great Black artists of the early-to-mid 20th century. After a major restoration, it reopened in 2012 with headliners including Chaka Khan. Low Cut Connie are an American rock and roll band based in Philadelphia, built around frontman, pianist and songwriter Adam Weiner, the group's one constant since it began in 2010.
