Upstairs is one of the three live rooms at Whelan's, the Wexford Street pub and music venue in Dublin's city centre, which runs gigs seven nights a week and has been doing so for over thirty years. The other two are the main venue and Little Whelan's, which is kept for intimate shows; the building also holds a bar and a private function room, the Parlour. Lily Rose Fitts, born on 9 December 2000, is an American singer-songwriter from Topsfield, Massachusetts, whose sound blends indie folk and alt-country.
