A concert hall in the centre of Nottingham, owned by the city council and part of a complex that also contains the Theatre Royal. Its markedly modern architecture has become a city landmark, facing the more recently built Cornerhouse. Level 42 are a British jazz-funk and pop band formed on the Isle of Wight in 1979 around bassist Mark King's virtuoso slap technique.
