A movie palace in San Francisco's Castro District, built in 1922 to a design by Timothy L. Pflueger, who also drew Oakland's Paramount Theater. Its architecture mixes Beaux-Arts and Spanish Baroque, and the Art Deco marquee that has become the street's landmark was added in 1937. Lane 8 is a dance/electronic act.
