A 1925 movie palace on Woodward Avenue (the longtime State Theatre), reborn as the Fillmore Detroit — a grand lobby, three tiers, and the annual Detroit Music Awards under its roof. KALEO are an Icelandic blues-rock band led by JJ Julius Son, whose stomping Way Down We Go topped US rock charts and soundtracked countless screens.
